What this site is
This is the Marsheepy catalogue: twenty-six products, the guides that go with them, and a clear account of what we know about our own range and what we do not.
A narrow range on purpose
Two things, made properly, in the sizes people actually buy. Eight charcoal sets between six and twenty-four bags. Nine double boilers between half a quart and just over three. Three sizes of balm tin, three lengths of magnetic strip, one set of nesting bowls, two gift boxes. That is the whole of it, and the whole of it fits on one page.
How the products are made
The charcoal is moso bamboo, carbonised and then activated so the pore structure opens up; the bag around it is either woven linen or a fine mesh, with a hanging ring set into the seam. The pots are 304 stainless, drawn rather than welded at the bowl, with a long handle that rests across the rim of the pot below. The tins are unlined aluminium with a screw lid and a rolled edge. We do not publish a factory list, and small kitchen goods in this category are generally produced to specification rather than in a plant the name on the box owns. We are not going to invent a workshop for the sake of a better paragraph.
What we will not say
We do not call a charcoal bag an air purifier, because that word now means a machine with a fan and a rated filter and ours has neither. We do not say it kills bacteria, removes mould or cleans the air of a room; the evidence for those claims is not ours to hand out. And we do not publish a laboratory report we have not commissioned. What is left after all of that is still a useful product, which is the point.
How this site is funded
This site is the catalogue, not the till. Every buy button opens the product at Amazon, where checkout, delivery and returns are handled, and if you buy after following one we receive a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
It also gives us an obvious reason to be enthusiastic, so it is worth saying what we do about that: the guides publish the four smells a charcoal bag will not fix, the calculators return the smallest set that does the job, and the two places our own material contradicts itself are on the front page.
